This is possibly the best Mexican restaurant I've eaten at outside of the USA. Welcoming atmosphere, well decorated and lively clientele. No bookings for groups under 8, but it doesn't matter as the service and turnover is fast. Have a drink at the bar while waiting. The cuisine is fresh and modern - no dodgy nachos and tacos here. Live music Wednesday nights. Three types of hot sauce on the table (green, red and ring-of-fire habanero). Excellent wait staff to customer ratio, with fast and attentive service.We had Buja fish tacos, BBQ pork quesadilla, and chilli lime squid to share between two, finished by churros and dark chocolate dip. Amazing meal - will definitely go back.

"Not your typical Snowy cuisine”

We'd been here before several years ago, with fond memories of both the food and the ambience.. No changes on our second visit with the same very friendly owner/cook and amazing tastes. The mixed dip entree was so much better than the usual fare at middle-eastern restaurants. The mains, though small servings, were filled with ingredients giving a mouth blasting taste. Everything is freshly made in the kitchen and the fried desert was a perfect way to end the meal. Worth a visit to this unusual restaurant tucked away at the end of a Jindabyne shopping street.

Our resort does it's best to showcase regional cuisine where possible, so that our guests enjoy a Snowy Mountains experience in all ways.
Our executive chef, Gerard Austin, is originally from Yamba in Northern NSW and has been at the resort since 2004.He did his apprenticeship at Ballina before becoming the sous chef at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel to pursue his love of snowboarding and mountain-biking, followed by several years as head chef at Thredbo's Credo Restaurant. He has earned his reputation as one of the Snowy's finest chefs.
His kitchen uses Snowy Mountains Trout, Monaro Beef and Lamb (where possible), Jindabyne's Hobbit Farm Goat Cheese, local fruit&vegetables (again where possible).
The resort promotes beers produced by Snowy Mountains Brewery. A Crackenback Pale Ale great with spicy Asian flavours; Razorback Red Ale perfect with lamb shanks or game; Bullocks Pilsner compliments white meat or fish & chips; Charlotte's Hefeweizen, an unfiltered wheat beer that is awesome with prawns or other shellfish.
The resort also serves many varieties of the local schnapps produced from the nearby Wild Brumby Distillery
The resort also boasts a fine selection of regional wines from Tumbarumba, Orange, Canberra, Mudgee, Hunter, Barossa Valley and Margaret River.
